You go with your own group, a dedicated guide, and a private shuttle — not a mixed bus tour.
A general temple ticket lets you walk the courtyards. It does not explain which fountains are for living guests, which are reserved for funeral rites, or how to make the offering. Your guide walks you through prayer, the canang offering, and the sequence under the sacred spouts so the visit stays respectful.

After hotel pickup you drive north to Tampaksiring. At the temple you change into a sarong and sash, present the offering, then enter the purification pools. You move spout to spout as your guide explains each step. Some fountains are skipped on purpose — follow the guide, not the photo queue.
After the ritual there is time to change into dry clothes and walk the outer courtyards before the shuttle returns you to your hotel.

Enter the purification pools and move under the sacred spouts in sequence. The water is cold mountain spring water. Your guide stays with you through each step.
Dry off, walk the outer courtyards if you wish, then the private shuttle returns you to your hotel.
